02/16/11 - 2010 recap and a bright 2011
An interesting year with many changes, not the least of which being a father of two little ones! Now that I've had time to catch my breath, here are some highlights from 2010:
-More work from Huthwaite and Oak Grove Technologies in the e-learning field for their clients
-My first foreign job with a service in the UK called Pouring Pounds
-My first German narration (!) for Plantronics, Inc. to launch a new product
-Narration for a demonstration video for ZipZoom in Canada
-Male narrator/announcer for Genetics and IVF Institute for their local and regional radio campaigns
-Chosen as the voice of Iberia Bank to create voice on hold messaging for all regions
-Narrator/host for a new guided audio tour installation at the Ronald Regan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California produced by Cortina in DC
-Singing "Show Me The Way to Go Home" with a male chorus for a Richard Dreyfuss movie trailer produced by Selectracks in Baltimore, MD
-Cast as John Thoreau in Metro Player's production of "The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail"
-First British voiceover as Ensign Jeremy Lister in the War of 1812 exhibit at Munroe Tavern in Lexington, MA-selected over several native British VO's as "more authentic"
-Featured on Voice 123, Voices.com, and Producer's Voice of Choice
Pretty diverse, huh? But that's just testament to my flexibility and professionalism as a voiceover artist. Let me put it to work for you for your next project!

8/6/09 -
After doing mostly production/videography work for his own and other clients (see metrovoicemedia.com) for the first half of 2009, Craig was back in front of the mic for Planet Vox during June and July, recording midwest region political ads advocating clean renewable American sourced energy, and taking to task the congresspeople who refused to steer us in that direction on their watch. The day after Craig became a father to baby Margot Ann Gildner, he was at Studio Unknown in Baltimore tracking a radio recruitment spot for the CIA. Most likely, the spot is, um, classified so it can't be posted here...but you'll be hearing it nationwide in a new radio campaign this summer/fall.
There's also been some work for Universal Com One, recording voice on hold messages for restaurants in Louisiana, including Lagneaux in Lafyette. Huthwaite Inc. just recently hired Craig to be a seller on one of their audio e-learning segments.

09/22/08 1st and 2nd Quarter 2008-2009 Updates
Craig has been busy! Aside from his 2 year old son keeping him running constantly, there have been many sessions from all over the country. During the calm before the storm of this fall political season, there’s time to catch up.
In October 2007 Craig recorded another episode in a pilot podcast for T. Rowe Price Clean Cuts in Baltimore. The mystery of new investment ratings, Alpha and Theta plus other not so familiar terms, were unlocked in order to provide T.Rowe’s staff with a clearer understanding to pass on to investors/clients.
In late winter/early spring, two audiobook excerpts came along. Alias and Oricha, from the pen of Florida author Michael Davis, are jam packed with suspense, intrigue, and excitement from the first paragraph. Michael heard Craig from a Voice 123 sample, and called him immediately. Samples are at www.michaeldavisbooks.com. Confirming Craig’s authenticity in character roles, Oricha co-writer Luis Barroso was very satisfied with portrayals and accents of Luis Oricha, Angel Martinez and Raul Bustamente on the first try.
In March/April, regional political radio/TV spots were cut at Craig’s Metrovoice Media studio for New Hampshire and Wisconsin primaries. Layback was used on already existing video: one of the features Deluxe Voiceovers can offer. Just send a Windows Media or Quicktime file, and you’ll get a file via FTP or e-mail in your preferred format that matches perfectly.
The summer saw more character narrations for Army training DVD’s through Oak Grove Technologies. Deadlines, re-edits, and recording additional material are all de rigeur for this project. Oak Grove continues to be pleased with Craig’s efficient turnaround and just in time delivery of files. Which means extra work for the fall!
A fun little project from Breckenridge Design Group showed up during July. For promotional web video for B-Digi, Craig cut an audio montage with fellow voicer Jan Johns. No script or message, just phrases like “You gotta see this!” “B-Digi!” and “I’ve heard about it..it’s cool!” were layered track on track, with different accents and voices, until it sounded like a cacophonous stadium crowd!
Return business from David Chaffin and Epic Learning welcomed in August. Everything from educational video intros to on hold prompts for phone systems were created for UT Arlington, ASU, and Higher Education Holdings. Craig can be your on hold guy too. His voice works well on phone systems. Clear, understandable, and instructive.
